Location and Hours
The Center for Pacific Northwest Studies is located in the Goltz-Murray Archives Building on the campus of Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. The Goltz-Murray Archives Building also houses two additional archival programs: the WWU Archives and Records Center, and the Washington State Archives: Northwest Regional branch.
CPNWS staffing and hours may be subject to change. Please contact the repository for details or to set up an appointment. WWU is closed on state holidays, and the Goltz-Murray Archives Building is closed to the public between 12 noon and 1pm. Faculty and instructors whose classes meet during the lunch period should contact Archives staff to make special arrangements for class visits and tours.
Monday-Friday 8.30am - 12 noon, 1pm-4.30pm (Closed between noon and 1pm)
Tuesday February 4, Early Closure: 4pm (Research room will closed early to allow for workshop set-up).
Tuesday February 11, Extended Lunch-time Closure: 11am-1.30pm (To allow Brown-Bag Presentation in the Research Room)

Take the Samish Way Exit (Exit 252) from Interstate 5.
Turn west on Bill McDonald Parkway heading up the hill toward Western Washington University. You will pass Sehome High School on the left-hand side.
Turn left on 25th Street and immediately left into Lot 33G (directly opposite the main entrance to the Goltz-Murray Archives Building).
Parking in Lot 33G is free for researchers who are not current WWU faculty/staff or students. Please request a daily pass at the Archives Building front desk upon arrival.
Archives staff are not permitted to provide parking passes to WWU faculty, staff or students. WWU faculty, staff and students should stop by the Parking Services Desk at the Campus Services Building to request a pass (or to temporarily reassign an existing pass) for Lot 33G. Faculty/staff with an existing and valid G lot permit may use this to park temporarily in Lot 33G.
Whatcom Transportation Authority provides bus service via the Goltz-Murray Archives Building, including from the following locations:
WWU Viking Union - Routes 105, 107, 190
WWU Lincoln Creek Park and Ride - Routes 190, 90A*, 90B* (*During WWU term-time only)
Downtown Bellingham Bus Station - Routes 105, 107, 108, 190, 25X, 28X
