Mongolia Days

Fri hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Mongolia Days is taking place in Bellingham during the first week of April. The main goal of the Mongolia Days event is to celebrate our town’s significant ties to Mongolia and share Mongolian culture with the community we live in.

As part of the Mongolia Days celebration, Western Libraries is hosting an exhibit of photographs featuring the sights and the people of Mongolia.  This stunning and colorful exhibit will be on display from April 2nd through April 23rd. The featured artists are: Shagdarjaviin Chimeddorj, a renowned artist from Mongolia; Sibyl Sanford, a Bellingham artist; Michael Steiner, a San Francisco photographer; and Carol Abraham, a Bellingham photographer. Please stop by the second floor of Wilson Library to take in these beautiful images of Mongolia. While you're at it, take a moment to enjoy the Mongolia display in the case near the photographs. This engaging and interesting display was put together by the Library's own Mongolia expert, Wayne Richter.
