Western Libraries COVID-19 Updates and Resources

Announcements and Updates

Remote Services and Online Access for Library Users

  • Western Libraries buildings are currently closed to the public through fall quarter and until further notice, but we remain open online. Should we reach Phases 3 or 4 in the coming months, the Libraries will work with university leaders on the staff and patron health and safety requirements that must be in place before we can resume library services further. For a list of services and resources available to WWU students, faculty, and staff, please see the Remote Services FAQ page.

Changes to Events

  • All in-person programs and events that would have taken place inside the library have been canceled until further notice.

To watch video-recordings of past presentations, lectures, and events, please go to Western CEDAR at https://cedar.wwu.edu/libraries_connections.

Additional Updates and Resources from WWU

  • Western's coronavirus information website features Frequently Asked Questions; has links to campus, regional and national resources; an archive of campus messaging and media stories about coronavirus; a new toll-free campus coronavirus information line, and more. The site is a living document, and will get frequent updates as the coronavirus situation evolves.
