Cinema East in May: 'The Films of Takahata Isao'

Beginning on May 1, 2025, the Cinema East film series at Pickford Film Center (1318 Bay Street) will present a special series of film screenings devoted to the work of Studio Ghibli co-founder Takahata Isao. Each Thursday in May will include screenings of Takahata’s features, at 7:45pm with a matinee at 11:00am.  

 The Cinema East film series is co-presented by Western Libraries and Pickford Film Center, with film selections curated by WWU librarian Jeff Purdue. Each film in May will also feature an introduction.
