Wilson Library has a small but growing collection of music CDs which may be checked out for seven days. The collection contains a wide variety of lectures, literature, and audio documentaries ranging from Pacifica Radio broadcasts to more recent audiobooks. Headphones and headphone jacks for using your personal are available at the circulation desk.
The Libraries also offer an LP collection containing many recordings from the esteemed Caedmon (now HarperAudio) label. This collection offers our patrons the opportunity to hear great authors such as Dylan Thomas and Carl Sandburg read their own work. The LP collection also contains LPs from the transcription service of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Additionally, there are recorded theatrical productions for Shakespeare to Eugene O’Neill performed by some of the great actors of the 20th century.
If you are interested in checking out materials from the LP collection, please request assistance from the circulation desk, as these materials need to be paged from closed stacks.
