Section 1 includes agendas, minutes, correspondence and reports documenting meetings and activities of committees, councils, boards and associations which establish policies and procedures for the University.

Board of Trustees, Faculty Senate, and Associated Student Board Records

The official records of the Board of Trustees, Faculty Senate, and Associated Students Board are archival records and must be transferred to the University Archives by those bodies for historical preservation. Other copies of these records, held by other individuals or offices on campus, are considered duplicate copies had have no retention requirements. These duplicates may be destroyed when no longer needed.

Records of Committees, Councils, Task Forces, and Other Bodies

Records of committees, councils, task forces, and other deliberative or governance bodies (other than the Board of Trustees, Faculty Senate, and Associated Students Board of Directors). May apply to bodies at the university, division, college, or departmental level. Typical records include charge/statement of authority, meeting agendas and minutes, and reports or other mandated output.

Does not include records of adjudicative bodies, curriculum committees, or records of search committees, for which separate schedules apply, and does not apply to informal, non-reporting groups.

Official copy held by: Originating office.

Retain for 6 years after calendar year

Search Committee Records

Search committee records fall under Recruitment and Search Records in the Personnel and Payroll section of the General Schedule.
