TODAY!  May 9th, John Popko, University Librarian of Seattle University,
will share & discuss
Transforming Learning & Building Community

4pm, Wilson 164, Library Presentation Rm.

When properly conceived and designed, a 21st century academic library can be a combination of destination, inspiration, and multi-modal service center that can have a
significant positive impact on building a campus community and transforming the educational experiences of students.

Popko’s talk,  will cover this ten year long project  focusing on conceptual and practical aspects of the facility as well as the extent to which they might be applicable to other educational institutions.

A video of this presentation as well as those of previous speakers in the series will be made available in Viking Village soon afterwards as part of an online discussion forum where the campus is encouraged to share their thoughts about the ideas presented as part of this month long series.

If you can’t join us in person catch the live stream of John Popko’s talk on Western’s UStream channel.
