The SPIE Digital Library is now available for Western. The SPIE Digital Library is published by SPIE (Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers) an international society located in Bellingham, WA. 

The SPIE Digital Library contains more than 296,000 research papers from conference proceedings and SPIE's scholarly journals.  18,000 new papers are added each year.  For an introduction to some of the content, visit the SPIE home page at and look in the Newsroom. 

3D displays, oil slick on the sea surface, pollution monitoring by satellite, are some recent topics.  Astronomy, lasers, nanotechnology, and biomedical applications - anything concerning the study and application of light - is included in SPIE publications.
