Special CollectionsStudents in the Information Studies: Monster Research class recently visited Special Collections with their instructor Michael Lorenzen, Associate Dean for Public Services.

Looking for monsters, they explored items from the collections including the Book of Beasts, The Canterbury Tales, and an article about Big Foot in the Western Front.

Tamara Belts and Peter Smith presented items from our collections in the Research Room.  After examining the items students toured the storage areas and work area where Lesley Lowery talked about digitizing the Western Front student newspaper.

Monster Research students are learning how to use books, journals, and archives to find and evaluate information on legendary creatures such as Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and other cryptids.
