Accessibility Audit

When: Fall 2015 (October -- November)

Project Overview: Western Libraries Usability & Design Working Group conducted an electronic accessibility audit of the many platforms which compose the website. The purpose of this audit is identify common electronic barriers that patrons with disabilities may encounter as they navigate the website. This brief report describes the methodology, the results of the audit, and the recommendations for improvements to current electronic infrastructure that will improve our patrons with disabilities overall experience with the website.

When: Winter 2016 (January)

Project Overview: Slated for Winter 2016 Quarter, the Western Libraries Usability & Design Working Group will conduct a series of card sorting tests in order identify a new information architecture for a future website.
 
 
 

User Personas

When: Winter 2016 (February)

Project Overview: Slated for Winter 2016 Quarter, the Western Libraries Usability & Design Working Group will conduct qualitative interviews with internal personnel in order to supplement and finalize the Western Libraries User Personas. The purpose of these interviews are to create representative personas for each of the Libraries patron populations, and to use these personas to guide future web content development and publication.
 
 

 

User Personas: LibAnswers Analytics Review

When: Fall 2015 (October)

Project Overview: Western Libraries Usability & Design Working Group conducted a review of the library's LibAnswers statistical data in order to gather data about how different patron populations access the various service points throughout the Libraries. This brief report describes the methodology, the results of the analytics review, and the conclusions drawn from the data.
