"Teaching Poetry to Youth: What Fun!"
Washington State Poet Laureate Arianne True will share tools for having fun when teaching and reading poetry, whether in schools or personal settings.
The Western Libraries has finalized the outcomes of the 2023-24 subscription review process. These changes, most of which will take effect on January 1, 2025, are part of an ongoing effort to ensure that the university’s portfolio of journal, database, and e-book subscriptions remains dynamic and relevant.

Selected from nearly 1,200 rare books donated to Western Libraries by award-winning author and inaugural U.S. Children’s Poet Laureate Jack Prelutsky, the material in this exhibition spans two hundred and fifty years in the history of poetry for the young and young at heart.
Western Libraries celebrates Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American Heritage Month, including an emphasis on voices and stories from the Pacific Northwest.
Western Libraries celebrates Jewish American Heritage Month with a selection of books and other resources, including distinctive materials from the Archives & Special Collections.
