Class Visits & Studio Tour Requests

You can choose from two ways to introduce your students to the Studio: we can visit your classroom (Class Visit), or you can bring your students to an orientation at the Studio (Studio Tour). Whichever you choose, a Studio representative will:

  • Introduce the academic support services offered by the Research & Writing Studio
  • Explain how to use the Research & Writing Studio, both in-person and online
  • Answer student questions

For most classes, Studio tours and class visits are most effective during the first 4 weeks of the quarter. Please provide at least one week notice for tours, so we can arrange staff and spaces. If you are looking to request a workshop, or for a more in-depth instructional session, please do not use this form. Instead, you can request a workshop online, or send an email to rws@wwu.edu describing the session.

Studio tours occur in the Research-Writing Studio, on Haggard Hall's main floor. Class visits occur in the classroom assigned to the requesting class.

If you are choosing a tour, let us know how long you would like it to last, either 30 or 50 minutes. The longer tour option is essentially the 30 minute tour with free time at the end for individual/group work with the RWAs.
