Delivery Services
Responsibilities
When choosing delivery you are responsible for:
- Replacement costs of items lost or damaged in transit (to or from the Library).
- Ensuring secure packaging when returning items by mail.
- Returning loans on time.
Items can be returned to the following locations:
- Under the skybridge between Haggard and Wilson
- Western Libraries Circulation Services
- Drive-up drop box in parking lot 11G
- Drop box in front of Arntzen Hall (not available during intersession and summer quarter)

- Keeping your e-mail and physical address current in ILLiad and OneSearch to assure timely receipt of all communication and materials.
Main Campus Faculty, Staff, and Students
We will deliver materials to your department on the Bellingham main campus by a Library courier. Not available during intersessions and summer quarter. Contact illiad@wwu.edu for other delivery options.
- Choose “Departmental Delivery - FAC/STAFF,” in your ILLiad or OneSearch settings
Scanning Services:
We will scan and send articles and book chapters from our collection to your email.
- Use the article request form in ILLiad
- If a scanning request is too long or fails to comply with U.S. Copyright Law, we will loan the item to you instead.
Regional (OCE) Locations Faculty, Staff, and Students
We will send materials via US Mail to WWU regional locations.
- This is only useful if you aren't on campus often.
- It's faster to pick up items at the Haggard Circulation Services.
Setting up delivery via US Mail:
- Select "Distance Ed" in your ILLiad status
- Select "Departmental Delivery" in your preferred Loan Delivery
