About
Casey A. Mullin is Head of Cataloging and Metadata Services at Western Washington University Libraries. He formerly served as Music Cataloger at the New York Public Library and as Head of Data Control for the Stanford University Libraries. Additionally, he is Managing Partner of the contract cataloging firm Flourish Music Metadata Solutions. He has served as chair of the Music OCLC Users Group and as a member of the Board of the Music Library Association. Within the American Library Association, Casey has served as chair of the Subject Analysis Committee's Subcommittee on Faceted Vocabularies. He is also a longtime contributor to the Program for Cooperative Cataloging's NACO and BIBCO metadata sharing programs, served as chair of the PCC Policy Committee, and as BIBCO Music Funnel Coordinator.
Outside of librarianship, Casey is active as a freelance violinist, violinist pianist, arranger, and writer on music.
