Bright indoor area with tables, chairs, and whiteboards, people in blurred focus. Large sign stating: "Hacherl Research & Writing Studio, WELCOME!"

Whether you need help coming up with a thesis statement, finding sources for a research paper, or you need some help with proofreading skills and citations, the Hacherl Research & Writing Studio is here for you. The Studio specializes in research, writing, and academic reading skills and offers services both in-person and online. The Studio is located on the Haggard side of the library on the second floor, and you can drop by on your own or with study partners and groups. When online, you can use the chat service to ask questions, submit a draft, or explore video tutorials and other resources about writing, editing, researching, and reading academic texts. Western faculty can also connect with the Studio to learn more about how we can support your specific courses. Studio staff can visit your classes to talk about services, arrange workshops on research and writing skills, or schedule presentations with peer advisors on study skills and strategies, and much more!
