Having accessible, self-paced, 24/7 support for research and writing can help both busy students and instructors. Western Libraries has a suite of online resources created with this need in mind, including a structured series of tutorials that support research and writing, and a series of eLearning modules that guides learners through the process of completing a research project. These resources can support the teaching and learning needs of both students and instructors. Students can learn more about the conventions of academic writing, develop effective research strategies, find guidance for formatting and citation, plan out your project timeline, and save time by putting your effort into upfront tasks, (such as developing an inquiry question and sub-questions). Instructors can easily add these resources to your Canvas courses and import ready-made quizzes into your courses. Also, be sure and check out the Instructor’s Toolkit which includes a list of learning outcomes for your students.
