Group Study Room Reservation System Coming Soon
A new system that will allow students to reserve library group study rooms is coming soon! This summer, Western Libraries is introducing a new system that will let students choose and reserve available group study spaces in real time, as well as book a reservation up to one week in advance. Students will also be able to scan a QR code to check in and claim their reservation upon arrival in the room at their reserved time.
This change is the result of hearing directly from students that having access to a more reliable study space for small groups is desirable, particularly if spaces can be reserved in advance. This new system will be rolled out over the summer to ensure it is working well by the beginning of the next academic year.
Western Libraries strives to better understand the wide range of perspectives and needs of those who use and rely on library spaces, and we invite you to share your thoughts with us. You can send your feedback or share your comments in an email to LibraryCommunications@wwu.edu. And if you are around this summer and get to try out the new reservation system, let us know what you think!
